What We Treat
Fertility and Pregnancy
Acupuncture can help every step of the way with pregnancy. It can help with getting pregnant, staying comfortable while pregnant, and preparing your body to deliver your baby. Acupuncture can boost your fertility by regulating your hormones, decreasing stress, and preparing your body to create a new little life.
Once you are pregnant, acupuncture can continue to help you grow with your baby by improving morning sickness, decreasing pain, and helping you remain calm and peaceful throughout your pregnancy. Your body is going through a lot of changes while pregnant and can often use a little help adjusting to those changes. Even if your pregnancy does not end how you would like or expect, acupuncture can help with that too.
When it comes time to deliver your baby, acupuncture can continue to help prepare your body and your baby for the exciting process they are about to go through.
Pediatrics
Keeping children healthy and balanced is important to their development and vitality. Pediatric acupuncture is a wonderful way to keep your child healthy and has been used for thousands of years for this purpose. Acupuncture needles can be used if needed, but most often we use other techniques to stimulate the acupuncture points such as massage, essential oils, tuning forks, red laser therapy, or AcuPatches.

Common childhood ailments that can be successfully treated with acupuncture and Chinese medicine include: colic, reflux, failure to thrive, skin disorders, asthma, allergies, earaches, food sensitivities, digestive issues, pain, anxiety and depression, bed wetting, sleep issues, and behavioral concerns such as ADD/ADHD and autism support.
Pain
Acupuncture is amazing for pain. I've worked with numerous clients who have had pain for years and have their pain resolved within a few sessions. Whether you are struggling with headaches, a stiff neck, a sore back, or knee pain, acupuncture can help ease your pain and greatly improve your quality of life.
Palliative Care and Hospice Support
Acupuncture can be an excellent adjunct to palliative care and hospice. Many of the concerns people have when their loved one is receiving palliative or hospice services, acupuncture can help with such as improving the person's quality of life, reducing pain, and relaxing their mind and body. With the option of home visits, GWFA can be an additional part of your loved ones care team to ensure they are comfortable and at ease.
